Morning Star Gold

Mining Titles

MORNING STAR GOLD'S EASTERN VICTORIAN TENEMENTS HAVE INCREASED TENFOLD IN AREA TO MORE THAN 220km2 .

Morning Star Gold received from the D.P.I. Victoria confirmation of granted Exploration Licences and Mining Licences covering over 220km2 of highly prospective 'Woods Point Dyke Swarm' tenements. This is a huge increase (over tenfold) in Morning Star's long areas held since 1987.

The areas shaded BLUE on the tenement map diagram are MCO's 100% held Mining Licences, all within 11kms of Woods Point. MCO's 100% held Exploration Licences, of which there are two, are depicted in MAUVE. Importantly, MIN5009 containing our key asset the Morning Star mine, has been joined and amalgamated in 2008 with ten other existing MCO Mining Licences, significantly strengthening the company's land holding in the Woods Point area and simplifying our ongoing regulatory disciplines. In late 2007, MCO received confirmation of its newly granted mining and exploration licences (ELs and MINs) covering the three major 'shear zones' running northwest from Woods Point. These zones run along the Ross Creek Line, the All Nations Line and the Tingha line of dykes and workings. Many mines exist within these new Mining Licences and two ELs, some of which were mined for rich returns of Gold from shallow workings historically.

Additionally Morning Star has purchased MIN5299 known as the 'Dempsey Licence' near Gaffney's Creek. This MIN contains the historically rich Dempsey, Hunts and Rose of Shamrock Mines which have produced ~87,000ozs Au - some recently. Exploration is underway on MIN5299 and immediately adjacent to it at the Wallaby Dyke on EL5079.

Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUA) are agreed and signed by MCO and the traditional owners of MCOs tenements. These ILUAs have recently (after an exhaustive 8 year negotiation) been finally registered in perpetuity in the National Native Title Tribunal, an adjunct to the Federal Court of Australia. This means MCO and the two Indigenous Peoples concerned (Taungurong & Gunai Kurnai Peoples) have binding agreements on mineral rights in perpetuity. This adds great stability and certainty to MCO's entire tenement package.
