Morning Star Gold NL (MCO) treats safety and training as its highest priority ahead of all else. MCO is consistently involved in training its staff & contractors and implementing and assessing best safe working practices and assessment and reduction of hazards both real and potential, which are part and parcel in our business. MCO works with a full time training & safety officer to ensure it has created a safe working environment and a safety aware attitude in its Woods Point and regional operations. MCO cares about its team greatly and understands safety is a dynamic force, which needs to be constantly respected, assessed and updated through training programs and regulatory compliance + input.
Operational Health and Safety procedures and a positive safety culture are consistently instilled in our entire workforce, including both long and short term contractors and all visitors to our sites.
Morning Star's safety record is impeccable with only one single minor scale lost time injury (LTI) since 2002.
MCO’s Safety Policy states that it is committed to being a safe work place, that it is responsible and accountable for issues as they may arise and that it undertakes to the maintain a level of skill and expertise in managing risk and occupational health and safety at all times.
